Manchester City's Joe Hart keen on Liverpool transfer in the summer
England keeper currently on loan in Italy aims to be back in the Premier League next season and is understood to fancy playing for Jurgen Klopp
Joe Hart
wants a return to the Premier League – and Liverpool are on his radar.
The
out-of-favour Manchester City keeper was farmed out to Torino on a
season-long loan by Pep Guardiola at the end of the summer transfer window.
The
Spanish coach told England first-choice
Hart he didn’t believe he
could adapt to the style he wanted at the Etihad, and, instead, signed
33-year-old Chile international Claudio Bravo in a £15.4million deal from
Barcelona.
Despite
criticism for recent mistakes in Serie A, Hart is enjoying his Italian job –
but he is desperate to get back to England in the summer.
And he has told pals he would jump at the chance to make the
switch to Anfield under Jurgen Klopp.
Hart
wants City to play ball if Liverpool are willing to negotiate a deal in the
summer.
Publicly,
Kop boss Klopp is backing new young signing Loris Karius, despite taking the
23-year-old German out of the line of fire after some shaky performances in
early December.
And, while he’s not convinced current No1 Simon Mignolet is the
answer either, he’s refusing to be drawn on speculation regarding Hart.
But
it is understood Klopp is keeping close tabs on the 29-year-old England
international – and will monitor his two keepers for the rest of the season
before making a decision on Hart.
